Who we are
Wellness Guideis an independent health, fitness, and nutrition publisher reaching readers in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia. Editorial and medical-review decisions are independent from advertisers. Sponsorship does not influence our recommendations. We follow applicable advertising laws and platform policies.
What we offer
1) Display ads (IAB-compliant)
Common sizes we support include: 300×250, 728×90, 320×50/100, 300×600, 970×250/90. Rich media must follow IAB New Ad Portfolio specs. We avoid intrusive formats per the Coalition for Better Ads.
2) Sponsored content / partnerships
Available on a limited basis and always labeled (e.g., “Sponsored,” “Advertisement”). We follow FTC rules on native ads and endorsements (clear, conspicuous disclosures).
3) Newsletter & contextual placements
Where available, sponsorships are labeled and separated from editorial content. Disclosures apply to email as well.
Creative & delivery guidelines
Max file weight & animation: Keep files lean; total animation ≤15s; no auto-play sound; no deceptive UI (fake buttons/system alerts); no auto-redirects/pop-unders. Follow IAB specs and Better Ads Standards.
Tracking: No device fingerprinting or unauthorized data collection. Tags must respect our Privacy/Cookie Policies and regional consent/opt-out requirements. Personalized ads in EEA/UK run only after valid consent.
Health advertising standards (strict)
We welcome evidence-based health, fitness, and nutrition advertisers. To protect readers and comply with law:
Truthful, not misleading, and scientifically substantiated. Health-related claims must have competent and reliable scientific evidence (human data where applicable). We may request substantiation at any time.
Native & influencer rules. All material connections must be disclosed; reviews/endorsements must reflect honest opinions; no fake social proof or deceptive formatting.
Google ecosystem compliance. Campaigns must comply with Google Publisher Policies and Google’s health/medicine ad rules (e.g., certification for certain categories, restrictions on sensitive services).
UK/EEA specifics. Ads shown to UK users must meet the CAP Code Section 12 rules for medicines, medical devices, and health-related products (e.g., no claims that discourage essential treatment; no POM-to-public promotion). We may geo-restrict or reject creatives accordingly.
We do not accept:
Unsubstantiated “cure”/“miracle” claims; extreme weight-loss promises; before/after imagery implying guaranteed outcomes; prescription-only medicine ads to the general public (UK); unlawful telemedicine or services lacking required certifications; deceptive, clickbait, or fear-based creatives.
Privacy, consent, and measurement
We respect user choices. In EEA/UK/CH, non-essential cookies and personalized ads run only with consent via our CMP. In certain U.S. states, we honor opt-out rights for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in our Privacy/Cookie Policies. Provide only aggregated metrics unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Editorial independence & separation
Sponsored placements do not receive editorial control. Our editors may refuse or edit any proposed sponsored article or placement that conflicts with our guidelines, medical-review standards, or audience interests. Ads and sponsored content are labeled distinctly from editorial content per FTC native advertising guidance.
Booking, lead times, and rejection rights
Lead time: ≥5 business days for creative QA and legal review.
Right to reject/remove: We may reject or pull any creative at our discretion if it violates these standards or applicable law/policies; unused spend will be refunded pro-rata for removed placements that have not run.
No guarantees: We don’t guarantee particular results (e.g., conversions). Performance varies by audience and seasonality.
Note: This page summarizes our ad standards. Your campaign is also subject to our Terms of Use and Privacy/Cookie Policies.
